MEMBERSHIP FEE 2009/2010

All members of the club should have had their letters regarding the new mmebership fees for the next year.All adult memberships will be increased from £10 to £15 per year and junior memberships will increase from £5 to £7.50 per year.Its still incredible value when you consider all the money gets put buck into the club for the members to use on outings and also so the club can secure the best guest speakers in all of pike fishing.previous guest of RA93 include mick brown,mark barret,derek mcdonald and our very own davy mcinally.

RA93 gets among the fish in the emerald isle

We set off from the joker with high expectations of the lough we were heading to and they were justified expectations.arriving early on friday morning  we had a traditional irish welcome of wind and rain but with bivvies up and rods  in the water all was ready for a good few days.The first 2 days were hard fished but  all the hard work was rewarded as several members had fish .The saturday seen a visit from the guys at RA111 for a days fishing and a stunning barbeque.You really outdone yourself with the food again this year guys and the barbeque was enjoyed by all with a few beers thrown in for good measure.After a wee chat with our hosts over a burger and beer or three  we started talking tactics(as always).The tactical change paid off with five doubles over the course of the trip coming to a variety of methods.all those who got doubles were sandy,paul,phil,ally and frazer with this fish of 17lbs 11oz.All i can say is.........same time next year???

OFF TO IRELAND

The blogs going to be quiet for a few days as we head out to southern ireland for our annual 5 day trip.This is our 2nd trip to the emerald isle having spent 5 days on lough derravaragh last august.This time we have to thank the irish PAC boys for helping us from the very start.We all know that the key to good fishing is local knowledge.Good luck to all going and look out for the pics on tuesday night when we arrive back

NEW MEETING DATES

Due to circumstances beyond the clubs control all RA93 meetings will take place on the 2nd tuesday of easch month at the joker bar,151 calder road,mossend,bellshill.The next meeting will be held on the 6th of october at 7:30pm.hope to see you all there,eddie

NEW SECRETARY AND NEW MATCH SECRETARY

A warm welcome and a big thank you to both paul o neill,pictured left,and linda johnstone on their new roles within the commitee of the club.Paul takes over the vacant secretarys role with linda taking over as match secretary.Im sure the precision and determination that paul shows in his fishing style will also shine through in his new role as secretary.Linda will be working closely with sandy the R.O to keep tabs on the catches of the outings and other club buisness.THANK YOU TO BOTH OF THEM FOR THEIR COMMITMENT TO THE CLUB AND ITS MEMBERS

NEWSLETTER ARTICLES NEEDED

Are you a member of RA93??Dont suppose that you want to share your pike fishing exploits with the rest of the members??Got a recent capture you want to show off??Then what are you waiting for........get to a computer and type up an article for the club newsletter!!!The club NEEDS member to contibute to the monthly newsletter with articles,pictures,hints and tips or anything else you feel you want to share.we have a few new members who might want to try writing for the first time  so why not go for it.I will be trying to contribute with a monthly article myself but everyone is welcome to give writing a bash.emails to the usual address please guys and girls

IMPORTANT INFO FOR RA93 MEMBERS

All members of RA93 will be receiving a letter from the committee in the coming week or so detailing new criteria that goes along with being a club member,also detailed is the new 6 month probationary period for new members.This is a direct result of the lack of support that has plagued the club since the start.It appears that its always the same 20/30 people who attend meetings,outings and other club related events.The new criteria is designed to encourage members,new and old,to get the most out of YOUR club.

BBQ WEEKEND PART 2!!!!!!!!

The second BBQ weekender is  here folks.spending the fri and sat on loch ascog then travelling to loch fad on the sunday for some pike and/or trout fishing.the choice is yours.meeting at the joker bar,151 calder road,bellshill on  friday the 28th august at 17:30pm.Returning on the sunday evening.All interested should contact myself or sandy for more details,see you all there eddie.

IRELAND TRIP UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

Can i remind all members who are going on our annual trip to the emerald isle that the remainder of the balance MUST be paid to sandy before the next meeting.The committee will not be chasing up payment of this.NO PAYMENT.......NO TRIP so show a little enthusiasm and commitment and get it paid before the deadline.The club have secured the services of a local well known pike angler to show us around the loch and effectivly be an unpaid guide for the duration of the trip.its gonna be a very good few days and with the number of members attending up to 16 im personally looking forward to fishing with some new members and guys i have yet to fish with.
